Thanks ever so much Dan for taking the time to design the model.

You could also use practically any brownish colour, applied lightly, and rubbing the excess off.įor masking i used vallejos liquid mask and a lot of tape. The rubber gaiters were painted primed black, then painted gloss black, 'rust' pigment was worked into the cracks and wiped off to create a slightly dirty look. Such as the feet, the areas below the leg rubber gaiters, in crevices in the hands, and a dozen other little nooks, you get the idea. Metallic rust and finally a Vallejo pigment 'rust' was used for areas of heavy rust. Which was then lightly hand painted with a coat of Vallejo 'rust', almost to the point of it becoming a wash. Hands and other metal areas were undercoated using black primer followed by gloss black and then metallic black. On the bodywork rust, oil streaks and other imperfections were added using blacks/browns. The main bodywork was primed in grey followed by Vallejo's 'light turquoise' which was darkened slightly on subsequent coats. The heavily abbreviated painting workflow is as follows:

Printed on Elegoo Mars at 108% original size solid using Elegoo's grey resin.Īirbrushed and hand painted using Vallejo acrylics and pigments.
